Profession: author of Conversationblog.com, social media consultant, speaker and trainer.
Experience: more than 14 years in Public Relations, specialising in crisis communications, media relations and since 1996 in "online PR". I started my career with Porter Novelli International in Brussels helping clients such as FedEx, Iomega and APME among others.
Four years later I moved to an in house position with IBM where I run the day to day PR/External Communications for Belgium & Luxembourg and am also the European Lead New Media, part of the global New Media function.
Next to IBM I started my own freelance operation in 2005 and trained business communicators, marketing professionals and information managers on the use of New Media (blogs, wikis, podcasting, videocasting and RSS).
In January 2008 I started Blackline, a social media agency together with Leads United, a Belgian public relations company.
As from 2009 I decided to return to IBM part time and work as a freelance consultant and trainer. My focus is now on organising training seminars about social media, offering strategic advise to companies on a European scale & work as a professional speaker on the topic.
