Ten questions for your PR consultant

Very good post here at the Reputation Plus Blog. Having been a PR Consultant myself I know that if clients start asking the right questions (like the ones below) today a lot of so called "Consultants" would have no clue at all what to answer.

10 questions to ask your public relations consultant:

  1. Are you monitoring our online presence?
  2. How will you handle brand detractors and customer evangelists?
  3. Has our crisis planning evolved to take account of the new media landscape?
  4. Are you multicasting our press material using an array of new media?
  5. How will you raise our online profile?
  6. Will you incorporate rich social media applications into our public relations strategy?
  7. Can you help me save money using new open source collaboration and communication tools?
  8. Do you understand RSS and its implications for public relations?
  9. Do you know how we could incorporate it into an online media room?
  10. We run an orphanage/have set up a wildlife programme. How can you help us spread the word about our community efforts in new and compelling ways online?
