Dowell Myers

Dowell Myers is a professor in the Sol Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California, where he direct the Population Dynamics Research Group. Myers holds graduate degrees from UC-Berkeley and M.I.T. He is an urban demographer and housing specialist who integrates demographic data (census, surveys, and projections) with housing, urban planning, and public opinion. Myers has a large catalogue of research on trajectories of immigrant advancement.  He is author of the award-winning book, Immigrants and Boomers: Forging a New Social Contract for the Future of America (New York: Russell Sage). 

Myers is also recognized as a leading innovator in the field of housing demography, authoring many works, including “Aging Baby Boomers and the Generational Housing Bubble,” “Demographic Forces and Turning Points in the American City,” “Peak Millennials,” “Cohort Insights on Millennial Homeownership,” and “Housing Shortages and the New Downturn in Residential Mobility.” Reports and other information can be found on the PopDynamics website: http://www.usc.edu/schools/price/research/popdynamics/.
